will close on January 8. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had released NDA 1 application form on January 8, 2020. Candidates need to apply online for the exam by paying Rs 100 as an application fee. However, the application fee is exempted for SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs. Candidates can generate the Pay in Slip for the offline fee payment till January 27. While the candidates can do the online fee payment can till January 28. The link to withdraw NDA application form 2020 will be available form February 4 to 11, 2020. 

NDA I 2020 Application Form can be filled till 28th January 2020. NDA stands for National Defence Academy. NDA 2020 will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). UPSC NDA Entrance Exam is a gateway for the aspirants who want to make their career in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

NDA 2020 Exam Date has been Announced now, the Exam will be held on 19th April 2020 for NDA I Exam. The applicants who are interested in getting the admissions in the Defence Forces like Army, Navy, and Air Force must appear and clear the NDA exams. These exams are conducted twice in a year (NDA 1 & NDA 2) by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) in multiple cities across the country.

The NDA (1) helps the applicants to join the armed forces and is the 1st chance to get the admissions. This national-level test is held twice (NDA I and NDA II) every year in April and November. The applicants will be able to access the application form for the NDA (1) from January Tentatively. After clearing the SSB round, qualified candidates will go through the medical examination and document verification process. NDA 2020 Application Form

The Application form for the NDA has been Available on 8th January 2020.

 
  • The Application Form NDA I has been released on 8th January 2020. Candidates can be filed application form till 28th January 2020.
  • The Application form will be filled in two parts – Part I and Part II.

The applicants have to register for the Entrance Exam in two parts.

  • Part 1 – Applicants have to fill all the details asked on the screen. (once completed the applicants will receive the registration number.
  • Part 2 – Applicants have to select the Exam centers and pay the application fee.
  • Then the applicants also have to upload the required documents (Scanned photo & signature)
  • Then the applicants can click on Accept and save the page.

NDA 2020 Application Fee

  • The application fees for the general category is Rs 100/-.
  • No fee will be charged to the SC/ST category and wards of NCOs/ JCOs/Ors
  • The application fee can be paid online (VISA/Master/Debit Card and Net banking).
  • The application fee can also be paid offline through e-challan of SBI Bank.

NDA 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The information related to the eligibility criteria entrance Exam is listed below for the applicant’s reference:

Nationality:

  • The applicants must be a resident of India, Person from Nepal and Bhutan are eligible.
  • The applicants who have shifted from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and East African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, and Ethiopia or Vietnam and now are eternally settled in India are eligible.
  • The applicant (Tibetan refugee) who has moved to India since 1st Jan 1962 is eligible

Age Criteria:

  • Only the applicants (MALE) who are not married can apply for this Entrance Exam.
  • The applicant’s age should be between 2nd July 1999 to 1st July 2002.

Educational Qualification

For Air Force & Naval Wings of National Defence Academy & for 12th Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy:

  • The applicants should be HSC pass or equivalent examination from any state education board or university
  • The applicants should have studied Physics & Mathematics as their main subjects.

For Army Wings of National Defence Academy:

  • The applicants should be HSC pass or equivalent examination from any state education board or university
  • Even the applicants who are in the process of completing their HSC or equivalent can apply.
  • Physical Standards
  • The applicants should be physically fit as per the rules set by NDA (National Defence Academy) & NDE (Naval Academy examinations).
  • The applicants also have to clear the medical test from the medical hospital.

Nationality:

  • Applying candidates must be the citizen of India/ subject of Bhutan/subject of Nepal or Refugee of Tibetan (came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention to settle permanently in India).
  • Candidate of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of settling in India can also apply.
  • All the applying foreign nationals have to produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt. of India. Gorkhas (subjects of Nepal) need not required to produce this certificate.

Gender, Age and Marital Status:

  • Gender: Only males are eligible to apply.
  • Age: Applying a candidate’s age must be between 16.5 – 19.5 years. He must be born between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2004, for NDA I. For NDA II, he must be born between 2nd January 2002 and 1st January 2004.
  • Marital Status: Applying candidate must be unmarried. Candidates cannot marry until completing their training.

Educational Qualification:

  • For Air Force and Naval Wings (Cadet Entry Scheme): Applying candidates must have passed their 10th and 12th level exams from a recognized board or university with the main subjects of Physics and Mathematics.
  • For Army Wing of National Defense Academy: Candidates must have passed their 10th and 12th level exams from a recognized board or university.
  • Appearing Candidates: Those who are in their last year of the qualifying year are also eligible to apply.

Physical Eligibility:

  • As per the physical standards set by the commission for admission into Naval Academy Examination and National Defence Academy, applying candidates must be physically fit.
  • Candidate resigning or withdrawing from any of the training academies of Armed Forces on disciplinary grounds will not be considered eligible to apply.

NDA 2020 Exam Pattern

The information related to the paper pattern entrance Exam is listed below for the applicant’s reference:

The NDA (1) Entrance Exam will be based on two papers.

Paper 1: Mathematics

  • The applicants will get 2 hours 30 min to solve the paper.
  • The question paper will have only MCQ type questions in it.
  • There will be a total of 100 questions asked in the paper.
  • The paper will be for 300 marks.
  • Each correct answer will get three marks.

Paper 2: General Ability

  • The applicants will get 2 hours 30 min to solve the paper.

The paper will have two sections which are

  • English (50 questions – 200 marks)
  • General knowledge (100 questions – 400 marks)
  • There will be a total of 150 questions asked in the paper.
  • The total paper will be for 600 marks.

The question paper of English will be designed for testing the candidate’s understanding of English and workmanlike use of words. The syllabus covers various aspects like Vocabulary, comprehension, Grammar and usage and cohesion in extended text to test the candidate’s proficiency in English

General Knowledge:

The question paper on General Knowledge will broadly cover topics from the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography, and Current Events.

Candidate’s answers will show their intelligent understanding and knowledge of the subject.

NDA 2020 Admit Card

The information related to the results process entrance Exam is listed below for the applicant’s reference: The university will release the results only through the official website, and no personal communications applicants have to use their credentials and then download the admit card from the website.

Once the admit card is downloaded by the applicants they have to save the copy and then print some extra copies of the same. The admit card will be available only for the applicants who are eligible for the entrance Exam.

The applicants should have the admit card with them when they go to write the Exam. Any applicant found without the admit card will be sent back home.

NDA 2020 Answer Key

After the declaration of the result of NDA 2020, the answer key will be released by various coaching institutions. Candidates will be able to access the answer key through online mode. It will be given in different sets for various subjects.

NDA 2020 Exam Result

The information related to the results process entrance Exam is listed below for the applicant’s reference: The results of the entrance exams will be declared by the university only after a month of the date of the exam.

  • Once the results are results are declared the university will also publish the Merit list which will be in general for all applicants in PDF format.
  • This merit list will have the names of all the applicants who have been selected for the next round which is the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview.
  • It is very important for the applicants to appear in the SSB round as it is organized by the Ministry of defense for the admissions.

NDA 2020 Cut Off

The overall and sectional cut off marks will be published by the board after the declaration of results. Candidates must qualify the written test to become eligible for further admission process.

According to the previous trends, it is expected that the cut off for written test will be 342 and the final overall cut off will be 708.

Selection Procedure (SSB Interview)

Candidates who will be shortlisted after qualifying the written test must go through the SSB interview series.
The NDA SSB interview will consist of two steps, steps 1 and 2. In Step 1, candidates will complete OIR (Officer Intelligence Rating) and PP & DT (Picture Perception & Description Test).

Candidates will be selected for Stage 2 based on the candidate’s performance in the OIR and PP & DT tests. The interviews, the tasks of the group test managers, the psychology tests, and the conference will be carried out in the second stage. The series of SSB interviews will take place from four to five days. After being recommended to the SSB, candidates must pass the medical examination round.

The Second Day of the SSB interview will include the tests related to the – Word Association test, situation reaction test, thematic apperception test, and self-description test.

The Third Day of the interview will be related to Group Discussion Test, Military Planning Exercise, Lecturettes, Intergroup Obstacle race or Snake race, Progressive Group Task, half group task, command task and personal interview for some candidates by the President.

The Fourth and Fifth days will include tests related to Individual Obstacles, Final Group Task, Interview for remaining candidates, final board conference and announcement of results.
